The Ticonderoga Alumni Association is primarily a fundraising
organization. Our goal is to raise funds to present
a scholarship to all Ticonderoga High School graduates
who go on to some form of higher education. Scholarships
are based on points earned for attendance, academics,
standardized tests, parent involvement, good citizenship
and community service. Points can be earned starting
in seventh grade. Our first scholarships were
awarded to the Class of 2006.
Our association also honors Ticonderoga High School
graduates annually with two awards. The first
award, the Distinguished Alumni Award, recognizes THS
graduates who have distinguished themselves through
community service as well as their careers. Recipients
are nominated by the public for this award. Our
Special Service Award also honors THS graduates.
These recipients are chosen by the Alumni Board of Directors
for their service to the Town of Ticonderoga and/or
the Alumni Association.
The Ticonderoga Alumni Association also serves alumni
by acting as a contact/information organization for
the other alumni, by facilitating or coordinating class
reunions and holding town-wide celebrations.
