Located on Route 9N in
the center of Hague. The park offers access to Lake George, a public
beach, children’s playground, a grassy area to rest and relax, a sandy
beach, a boat launch as well as a pier for scenic views of Lake George.
The beach is open 10 AM - 6 PM July 1st through Labor Day.
Jabe Pond Trail & Other Hiking Trails:
Follow Route 9N south
towards Silver Bay. Turn right onto Split Rock Road. There is a parking
area near the Jabes Pond Trail Head. This hike will give you beautiful
views of Jabe Pond and native flowers. Other Hiking Trails are avail-
able throughout the area.
Peggy’s Point:
This park which is maintained by the Lake George
Land Conservancy includes 315 feet of lake shoreline, a popular spot
for anglers and anyone who wishes to sit and enjoy a peaceful moment
on the point. This property has a beautiful lawn with towering birch
trees and space for families to play and picnic together
Rogers Rock Campsite, Hiking Trails, Day Use, Beach & Boat
Launch:
Rogers Rock Campsite is located on the border of the Town
of Ticonderoga and Hague on NYS Route 9N and gives access to Lake
George, 332 campsites, day use and picnic areas, sandy beach, boat
launch and hiking trails.
Silver Bay YMCA:
Silver Bay YMCA is a conference center located
on over 700 acres along the shores of Lake George welcoming groups
of all sizes from conferences, family reunions, and family vacations.
Daily and weekly access to their facilities and activities is available
including a sandy beach, kayaking, canoeing, archery, tennis, basket-
ball, fitness center, craft shop, hiking trails, family programs, lectures,
concerts and an Ice Cream Shop. A Gift Shop is located at Silver Bay.
The Gallery At Hague Creek:
Surrounded by the Charm of a building
erected in 1839, the Gallery features work of artists from the Hudson
Valley and the lower Adirondack Region. Throughout the season it
exhibits and hosts both locally and nationally recognized and emerg-
ing artists in a variety of media. The gallery is located on Graphite
Mountain Road.
Moriah:
Belfry Mountain Fire Tower & Hiking Trail:
This entire climb is
all easy uphill hike, along an access road to the tower. The firetower is
open so be sure to climb on up and check out the views. Slight views
can be had from the ground floor if you don’t like climbing the tower.
The old mining community of Mineville, Witherbee and Moriah are
directly below you and the large mounds of mine tailings can be seen in
the distance. Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains of Vermont are
far off in the distance.
Bulwagga Bay Beach:
Located just off Route 22/9N Bulwagga Bay
offers a playground, beach, pavilion, horseshoes and a basketball court.
Boat Launch & Port Henry Pier:
The boat launch is located along
Lake Champlain a short distance down the hill from the Port Henry
