Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing:
Cross Country skiing and
snowshoeing can be done at Rogers Rock State Campsite, Ticonderoga
Bicentennial Park, the Crown Point State Historic Site as well as on a
variety of hiking trails throughout the area.
Fishing:
Ticonderoga gives access to two of the most beautiful fresh
water lakes and some of the best fishing in NYS. Various fishing
tournaments and derbies are held on both Lake Champlain and Lake
George. Fishing licenses are available at Town Offices and Wal-Mart in
Ticonderoga. Both lakes offer boat launching access points and on-land
fishing locations. In addition the LaChute River in Ticonderoga is a
wonderful location to fish.
Golfing:
Golfing is certainly a favorite past time in the Adirondacks.
The Ticonderoga Country Club is an 18-hole golf course with beautiful
views of the Lord Howe Valley, a pro-shop and restaurant located onsite
in Ticonderoga (518-585-2801). A full service driving range is located
next to the Ticonderoga Country Club at Five Nations Golf (518-586-
6838). A 9-hole golf course is located in Moriah.

Hiking:
Hike into the mountains or along waterside trails both offer-
ing spectacular views of the area including Lake Champlain, Lake
George, the Adirondacks and Vermont. Hiking Trails can be accessed at
designated points throughout the Ticonderoga Area. Maps and guides

Ice Fishing:
Great fishing can be found even in the winter on Lake
Champlain, Lake George and other area bodies of water. For informa-

Mini Golf:
Five Nations Golf located next to the Ticonderoga Country
Club offers historically themed 18 hole mini golf course with beautiful
views of Lord How Valley. A full service driving range is also located at
Five Nations. (518-586-6838)
Northern Lake George Paddle and Pickle Ball:
NLG offers a 2 court
platform tennis facility with a wanning hut and ‘viewing deck. Paddle
Tennis is for players of all ages (908-244-7855).
Ice Skating:
Ice Skating rinks are located in Ticonderoga and Moriah.
Relaxing:
Do nothing, relax and enjoy the scenic beauty and calming
effect of the area. That’s why they invented the Adirondack Chair.
