Billy Bob’s Apple Orchard:
Located on Lower Road in Putnam Sta-
tion. Billy Bob’s offers an array of delicious apples ready to go, pick
your own orchard, homemade sweet treats, Billy Bob’s attire, and an
Annual Apple Fest with hay rides, pumpkin picking and more.
Gull Bay Public Beach & Boat Launch:
Located on Gull Bay Road
in Putnam the beach area offers a beautiful view of Lake George, swim-
ming, a sandy beach, boat launch and a chance to relax in this quiet and
serene setting.
Gull Bay Preserve:
This woodland hillside property contains old log-
ging roads and two wetland swamps. In autumn, significant numbers
of migratory waterfowl rest in the wetland before their journey south
to warmer climates. The western side of the property has a magnificent
scenic vista of Lake George. The Lake George Land Conservancy has
established two miles of hiking trails and hosts nature excursions on the
property.
Adirondacks:
It is no surprise that the Adirondack Park is such an acclaimed vaca-
tion destination - it’s a park unlike any other. The Adirondacks span 6
million acres; include over 2,000 miles of designated hiking trails, the
highest peaks of New York and countless lakes, river and streams. With
four beautiful and distinct seasons, the region offers infinite opportuni-
ties for adventure any time of the year.
Lake Champlain:
The Lake Champlain Region is celebrated for 400 years of history and
one of the most striking skylines in the Eastern U.S. Often referred to
as the 6th Great Lake, Lake Champlain stretches over 120 miles, boasts
600 miles of shoreline as well as 70 islands, Lake Champlain unites his-
toric hamlets along the shore. The region offers scenic mountain hikes,
biking on quiet country roads, championship golf courses and endless
water recreation including fishing, boating, swimming, and kayaking.
Visit the regions 18th century military forts at Ticonderoga and Crown
Point, check out the area museums or just relax and wander down the
charming streets.
Lake George:
Located in the southern part of the Adirondacks is approximately 32
miles long stretching from Lake George Village to Ticonderoga and
nearly 3 miles wide at the widest point. Much of Lake George’s Shore-
line is unsettled and will remain that way due to conservation efforts.
The Lake George Region offers access to recreational opportunities,
scenic beauty and historic sites. Small communities surround the north
end of the lake including Ticonderoga, Hague, and Putnam, NY.
