13 Sep 2022 Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony: RSVP & Submit Nominations
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will host their Annual Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 6:00 PM. The free dinner and awards ceremony will be held at the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites, located at 260 Burgoyne Road in Ticonderoga.
The dinner and awards ceremony is an opportunity to recognize all area businesses, organizations, and volunteers as well as the 2022 “Business of the Year,” “Organization/Non-Profit of the Year,” “Chamber Volunteer of the Year,” “Community Volunteer of the Year,” and give out TACC Appreciation Awards.
In 2021, awards were given to certain individuals, businesses, organizations, and committees who not only support the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, but give of themselves for the betterment of the Ticonderoga Area and the community as a whole.
Nominations for the 2022 Business of the Year, Organization/Non-Profit of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Community Volunteer of the Year, as well as TACC Appreciation Awards are now being accepted. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office located at 94 Montcalm Street in Downtown Ticonderoga or at www.ticonderogany.com. Forms can also be requested via email. Nominations must be received by October 10, 2022.
“The Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony is a chance to thank and honor those individuals, businesses, organizations and committees who work so diligently throughout the year. Without the dedication, drive, and true spirit of volunteerism and the commitment of the businesses and organizations within the area so many initiatives, events, improvements, and projects would not be possible. A big thank you to Theresa Abare and Jodi Gibbs for assisting with coordination of this event, the Best Western for being our hosts, and to all of those who donate for this event. We would also like to thank our Board & Ambassadors for all their assistance” stated Erin Mullen, Member Service & Event Manager, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.
At last year’s event, the recipient of the Business of the Year award was Tromblee’s Greenhouse & Gifts, Organization of the Year was awarded to the Ticonderoga Elk’s Lodge, Chamber Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Megan Bambara and Nathan Belanger, and the Community Volunteer of the Year award was given to Seth Gould. TACC Appreciation Awards were given to the Ticonderoga Alumni Association, Joyce Barry, Mary Mazzotte, Judy Walker, Silver Bay YMCA, We are Instrumental – Evan Mack & Mike Iturrino, Christopher and Janet Mallon, Monty Benedict – Eagle Scouts Project, Dedrick’s Tree Service, Terry Brannock-Brannock Properties. Special Recognition awards were given to the Circle Court Motel/The Greer Family, Wagon Wheel Restaurant, and Ticonderoga Paint and Decorating.
All menu items for this event, which is a casual buffet dinner, are donated by area businesses and organizations to thank and honor area volunteers. If you are interested in making a menu item donation for the 2022 Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony, contact the Chamber office.
