2023 Ticonderoga Area Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony: RSVP & Submit Nominations
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will host their Annual Ticonderoga Area Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 6:00 PM. The complimentary Italian dinner and awards ceremony will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Downtown Ticonderoga.
The dinner and awards ceremony are an opportunity to recognize all area businesses, organizations, and volunteers as well as the 2023 “Business of the Year,” “Organization of the Year,” “Chamber Volunteer of the Year,” “Community Volunteer of the Year,” and give out several TACC Appreciation Awards.
In 2022, awards were given to businesses, organizations, committees, and individuals, who not only support the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, but give of themselves for the betterment of the Ticonderoga Area and the community.
Nominations for the 2023 Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Community Volunteer of the Year, as well as TACC Appreciation Awards are now being accepted. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office located at 94 Montcalm Street in Downtown Ticonderoga or at www.ticonderogany.com. Online nominations can also be submitted. A link is available from the TACC. Nominations must be received by October 5, 2023.
“The Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony is a chance to thank and honor those businesses, organizations, committees, and individuals, who work so diligently throughout the year. Without the dedication, drive, and true spirit of volunteerism and the commitment of the businesses and organizations within the area so many initiatives, events, improvements, and projects would not be possible. A big thank you to Theresa Abare and Jodi Gibbs for assisting with coordination of this event, the Knights of Columbus for being our hosts, and to all of those who will sponsor this event. We would also like to thank our Board & Ambassadors for all their assistance” stated Erin Mullen, Member Service & Event Manager, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.
At last year’s event, the recipient of the Business of the Year Award was Punky’ Noodles, Organization of the Year was awarded to Friends Comforting Friends, Chamber Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Mary Jean Priore, and the Community Volunteer of the Year award was given to Judy Walker. TACC Appreciation Awards were given to Brian and Rachel Little, Ticonderoga DRI Committee, Max Thwaits, Christa Cole, Jackie Paladrani, Maureen & Paul Jebb, The Sawyer Family, Megan Scuderi, Lachute Road Runners, Geraw’s Ok Septic Service, Steve Racanelli, and Stacy Charboneau.
Special Recognition Awards were given to Carolyn Ida, Kellie Bilow, Bodette’s Barbecue/The Candy Corner (Joe & Cindy Bodette), McDonalds of Ticonderoga (Scott Hearburg), Sugar Hill Manor B&B (Karen Hennessy), Stoney Lonesome B&B (Nancy Ockrin), and The Ruah B&B (Peter & Judy Foster).
