Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market To Open For Season In Downtown Ticonderoga

Farmers, Vendors, & Businesses Can Sign Up – Special Events Planned

Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is excited to announce that the 2024 season for the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market will start on July 13th and run through September 28th in Downtown Ticonderoga on Saturday’s from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The market will take place behind Glens Falls National Bank, just off Montcalm Street (intersection of McCormick Street and Champlain Avenue). Two parking areas are located near the market for customers to utilize.

The Farmers Market Committee is busy planning and preparing for the season. TACC is honored that Cathy Allen will return as the Market On-Site Manager, June Curtis remains dedicated as the Market Advisor, and Kelly Carey will continue to serving as the Market Office Manager. Along with those mentioned, Nicole TeRiele and the Chamber Staff also serve on the committee. In addition, the market would not be possible without other volunteers like Rich Allen and Kathy White Liddell.

Farmers, vendors, and local businesses interested in participating in the market, as well as those interested in volunteering should email at farmersmarket@ticonderogany.com or call 518-585-6619. Deadline for participants to sign up as a regular vendor is June 21st, 2024.

“The Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market is a great opportunity for community members and visitors to connect, support the local economy, and enjoy a beautiful morning in the Ticonderoga Area. Downtown Ticonderoga has been a great location for the market and we would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Join us each Saturday for local produce, products, music, and much more. The committee is currently recruiting farmers, vendors, and business participants. We welcome them to commit to the entire season, specific dates, special events, or even join us as a guest for one market. We would like to give a big thank you to the Town of Ticonderoga for their support and dedication. The entire Farmers Market team along with the TACC staff are working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. Please show your support and think local this season. The community and visitors support will allow us to continue to grow, offer more special events, and better serve the area,” stated Cathy Allen, Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market On-Site Manager.

Several special events are planned for the 2024 season including the following:

  • July 20th: Family Fun Day
  • August 17th: Local Authors Day & Makers Market
  • September 21st: History Speaks Event

If you are interested in participating in one of these events, contact the TACC or the Farmers Market Team. Stay tuned for details on each event.

Please note that the market will be part of StreetFest on July 27th from 10 AM to 3 PM and FallFest on September 28th from 12 – 3 PM.  On Friday, December 6th, 2024 the Holiday Market will take place at the Chamber Office from 5-8 PM as part of the Annual Ticonderoga Area North Country Christmas and Holiday Shopping & Dining Night. Details for these events will be announced.

In addition to the events planned, free local food activity guides for kids provided by Adirondack Harvest and free weekly recipes from the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will be available. Other giveaways and activities will take place throughout the season. A 50/50 raffle will also take place all season to support the market activities, events, music, etc.

“Friends of the Market” sponsorship opportunities are also available for the 2024 Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market. To become a Friend of the Farmers Market, sponsorship flyers are available from the TACC. Please make all checks payable to Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce with a note that specifies it is for the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market. Deadline to be a 2024 Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market sponsor is June 21st, 2024.
