6th Annual Ticonderoga Area FallFest – September 30th

6th Annual Ticonderoga FallFest To Take Place September 30th – Event Continues To Expand

Fall is in the air and the 6th Annual Ticonderoga Area FallFest is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 with a variety of fall-themed events and activities for all ages. This festival will take place throughout the day with most aspects taking place in Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park. Community members and visitors are encouraged to join the fun as the Ticonderoga Area celebrates the fall season with food, family fun, live music, farmers market, fireworks, and so much more.

FallFest always takes place the last Saturday of September in Ticonderoga, NY. The event is being organized by the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC), as well as several local businesses and organizations.

Ticonderoga Area FallFest Schedule of Events: Saturday, September 30th, 2023

11:00 AM: 100th Anniversary Celebration of Motorized Firefighting:

“Hall of Flame” Museum, Ticonderoga Fire Station

Join the Ticonderoga Volunteer Fire Department at the “Hall of Flame” Museum located at the Ticonderoga Fire Department on Montcalm Street to celebrate 100 years of motorized firefighting in the community. There will be a brief ceremony at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception with light refreshments, as well as tours of the museum and fire station.

Please note that this event could change if the Ticonderoga Fire Department services are needed for an emergency.

12:00 – 3:00 PM: FallFest Afternoon Family Fun & Farmers Market:

Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park

Farmers Market, Live Music by Lang and I, Touch A Truck, Carnival Games by Silver Bay YMCA Teen Center, Bounce House, VR-Room Virtual Reality, Face Painting, Food Trucks, Vendors, Children’s Activities, and Ticonderoga Alumni Fife & Drum Corp Performance (2:00 PM).

Please note that the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market will only take place today from 12:00 – 3:00 PM in Bicentennial Park.

5:00 – 8:00 PM: FallFest Evening Family Fun & Adult Beer Garden (21 & Older):

Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park

Ticonderoga Area Restaurant Food Fest, Children’s Activities by the Town of Ticonderoga Youth Program, Bounce House (sponsored by PRIDE of Ticonderoga), VR-Room Virtual Reality, Fort Ticonderoga Fife & Drum Performance (5:00 PM), Live Music by Bark Eater, and Beer Garden. To enter the beer garden, you must be 21 and have valid ID present.

Please note that valid ID showing you are 21 or older is a requirement for everyone entering the beer garden. No outside food or alcohol is allowed for any reason. Last call will take place at 7:30 PM. No exceptions to the rules are possible.

8:00 PM: Fall Fireworks Over Bicentennial Park

Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park

Enjoy a fall fireworks display over beautiful Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park. All attendees are required to follow posted signage and the directions of local officials. There is no parking near the Ticonderoga Recreation Park or the Kissing Bridge/Bicentennial Falls area next to the recreation park.  The fireworks display would not be possible without the support and coordination of the Ticonderoga Fire Department and the Ticonderoga Police Department as well as the sponsorship of the Town of Ticonderoga, Sylvamo, and PRIDE of Ticonderoga.

Please note that the scheduled fireworks time is approximate and is weather dependent.

Children’s activities and the live entertainment for FallFest 2023 are sponsored by the Essex County Arts Council – Cultural Assistance Program and the Ticonderoga Cultural Arts Initiative.

Additional event aspects may take place on September 30th as part of FallFest including Sidewalks Sales at local businesses. Stay tuned for additional announcements and information.

This event has grown significantly with new aspects including, family activities, live music events, food trucks, coordination with local restaurants, the addition of fireworks, and the overall expansion of the farmers’ market. The TMSP and TACC continue to partner closely to bring exciting events to the community for residents and visitors. Each year the committees focus on planning new aspects for all to enjoy.
