Dolly & the bean New Location Celebration Held
TiTogether Small Business Emergency Grant Program Launched
Dolly & the bean in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) held a “New Location Celebration” on Thursday, June 27th. As part of the celebration there were speakers from the Chamber, Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, Town of Ticonderoga, and the North Country Rural Development Coalition.
Prior to the ribbon cutting of the blue ceremonial TACC Small Towns Big Opportunities ribbon, an unveiling of the new Dolly & the bean window took place which showcases small business resources, a new small business emergency grant initiative, as well as Dolly & the bean’s passion for the community.
Now located at 43 Montcalm Street in Downtown Ticonderoga, Dolly & the bean is a name brand thrift shop that provides a unique shopping experience for all ages, that also benefits the community. Products include clothing, décor, household items, furniture, and much more. Dolly & the bean is dedicated to being part of the continued expansion of the Ticonderoga Area and will play a role in making it an exceptional place to live, work, and visit. Inventory at the store will change regularly, so you are encourage to stop by frequently.
TiTogether, the Ticonderoga Area small business emergency grant program will be administered by the North Country Rural Development Coalition. A portion of the proceeds from Dolly & the bean will benefit this new program that was a brainchild of Megan Bambara with support and guidance from fellow entrepreneur Jaimee Kuhl, TACC, and formerly PRIDE of Ticonderoga. This program aims to provide small businesses up to a $1,500 grant for emergency purposes like quick repairs, equipment replacement, etc. Additional details on this new business resource including the official guidelines and application will be available later this year.
