TiTogether Small Business Emergency Grant Program Launched

Dolly & the bean in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) held a “New Location Celebration” on Thursday, June 27th. As part of the celebration there were speakers from the Chamber, Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, Town of Ticonderoga, and the North Country Rural Development Coalition.

Prior to the ribbon cutting of the blue ceremonial TACC Small Towns Big Opportunities ribbon, an unveiling of the new Dolly & the bean window took place which showcases small business resources, a new small business emergency grant initiative, as well as Dolly & the bean’s passion for the community.

Now located at 43 Montcalm Street in Downtown Ticonderoga, Dolly & the bean is a name brand thrift shop that provides a unique shopping experience for all ages, that also benefits the community. Products include clothing, décor, household items, furniture, and much more. Dolly & the bean is dedicated to being part of the continued expansion of the Ticonderoga Area and will play a role in making it an exceptional place to live, work, and visit. Inventory at the store will change regularly, so you are encourage to stop by frequently.

TiTogether, the Ticonderoga Area small business emergency grant program will be administered by the North Country Rural Development Coalition. A portion of the proceeds from Dolly & the bean will benefit this new program that was a brainchild of Megan Bambara with support and guidance from fellow entrepreneur Jaimee Kuhl, TACC, and formerly PRIDE of Ticonderoga. This program aims to provide small businesses up to a $1,500 grant for emergency purposes like quick repairs, equipment replacement, etc. Additional details on this new business resource including the official guidelines and application will be available later this year. Monetary donations to the program can be made online at www.northcountryruraldevelopment.org.

“Dolly & the bean and the TiTogether program are truly dream projects that I am honored to see come to life. A lot of hard work has gone into making them both a reality. I would like to thank all of my family members and friends but in particular my husband Nathan, my son Alexander, my Mom Nancy, and my nieces Giuliana & Gabriella (AKA Dolly & the bean). I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to TACC, Small Town Boutique/Huddy & Co (Jaimee Kuhl), North Country Rural Development Coalition, Cody Lang, Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, Town of Ticonderoga, the Ticonderoga Area business community, and my staff for all of your support,” shared Megan Bambara, Owner of Dolly & the bean.

We would like to thank Megan for her continued investment of her time, talent, and resources. While Megan may not have grown up here in Ticonderoga, she has found her home. We are also so appreciative of Nate and Alex for all they give to this community. We truly are Small Towns with Big Opportunities. Revitalization of the Ticonderoga Area will continue. All of our collective efforts to make the Ticonderoga Area an exceptional place to live, work, and visit will become a reality. The passion and commitment of many entrepreneurs, organizations, local and regional leaders, volunteers, and community members, will have a long-lasting economic impact for many years to come,” stated Matthew Courtright – TACC President & CEO.
