Hague Winter Weekend 2025

The Annual Town of Hague Winter Weekend will be held Friday, February 14th through Sunday, February 16th, 2025 with an array of events and activities taking place throughout the community. This celebration is a must do event in Hague, NY each winter that is made possible by a number of local organizations.

Friday, February 14th:

4:00 – 9:00 PM: Silver Bay YMCA Winter Weekend Activities

Ongoing Activities: George & Kay Berry Library, Coffee, Hot Cocoa, Games, Puzzles, Coloring, Disc Golf, Snowshoeing, and Gift Shop. Visit www.silverbay.org or call 518-543-8833 for more information.

7:30 – 8:30 PM: Trivia Night In The Store

Saturday, February 15th

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Hague Firemen’s Breakfast – Hague Volunteer Fire Department

Breakfast at The Hague Volunteer Fire Department located on West Hague Road. Breakfast will be a $12.00 donation for adults and $6.00 for kids (ages 13 and under). Open to the public.

10:00 AM – 9:00 PM: Silver Bay YMCA Winter Weekend Activities

10:00 – 11:30 AM: Broomball

10:00 – 11:30 AM: Indoor Arts and Crafts

1:00 – 2:00 PM: Sledding and Sled Bowling

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Cookie Decorating

3:00 – 5:00 PM: Paint and Sip (21 and older event)

7:00 – 9:00 PM: Pajama Movie Night “Inside Out 2”

1:00 PM: WinterFest Events – Hague Fish & Game Club

Winter Games & Activities at the Hague Fish & Game Club located on West Hague Road.

1:00 PM: All Day Bonfire, Hot Cocoa, and Sliding.

1:00 – 3:00 PM: Face Painting with The Art Bucket.

1:00 – 4:00 PM: Caricatures by Phil.

1:30 PM: Kids Coloring Activity.

1:30 PM: Giant Jenga Challenge.

*Two towers with teams of four (2 adults and 2 kids).

2:15 PM: Adult and Kids Frying Pan Toss.

*Each contest gets two throws of your frying pans. Categories include adult women, adult men, and children (12 and under).

3:00 PM: The Ever-Favorite Chainsaw Challenge

*Bring your own stock saw. Timed event, first to go through three full slices move on.

3:00 PM: Chicken BBQ Dinner

*$15.00 donation per person. Eat-in or take-out till gone. Thank you Marty Fitzgerald!

6:00 – 9:00 PM: Live Music Featuring Rich Ortiz.

The Hague Fish & Game Club WinterFest events will end with a small fireworks display. A 50/50 drawing will also take place to benefit the Beste Scholarship Fund. Some event aspects are weather permitting.

Sunday, February 16th:

10:00 AM – 10:00 PM: Silver Bay YMCA Winter Weekend Activities

10:00 – 11:00 AM: Sunday Worship Service

10:30 – 11:30 AM: Rock Wall Vertical Climbing

1:00 – 2:00 PM: Snowball Battleship and Sledding

2:30 – 4:30 PM: Family Paint & Snack

7:30 – 8:30 PM: Constellation/Stargazing Walk

2:00 PM: Polar Plunge – Trout House Village Resort Dock

The Polar Plunge sponsored by the Hague Volunteer Fire Department will take place at 2:00 PM. Registration is at 1:30 PM. $5.00 to jump and $15.00 for a shirt. All proceeds will go toward the Vermont Children’s Hospital in Honor of Katy Wells. Free hot chocolate and coffee to follow at the Hague Fire Department.

Immediately Following Polar Plunge: Chili Cook Off – Hague Volunteer Fire Department

The Chili Cook Off will take place at the Hague Fire Department located on West Hague Road immediately following the Polar Plunge.  Top 3 prizes will be awarded. All chili must be dropped off by 1:30 PM on February 16th. There is a $15.00 donation for admission. In addition to chili sampling, hamburgers, hotdogs, water, and soda will be available. Entertainment will be provided. All proceeds will go toward the Vermont Children’s Hospital in Honor of Katy Wells.
