The Best 4th In The North Committee, is thrilled to unveil the official schedule for the 2025 Best 4th In The North Celebration, happening July 1–4 in Downtown Ticonderoga. A treasured tradition for residents and visitors alike, this multi-day event will include spectacular fireworks, a hometown patriotic parade, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, vendors, food, and plenty of festive fun. The celebration not only honors Independence Day but also brings thousands to the area, providing a meaningful economic impact for local businesses and the greater Ticonderoga community. The Best 4th in the North Committee is a subcommittee of the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP). This celebration is made possible by the support of the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC).

Tuesday, July 1st:

4:00 – 9:00 PM: Food Trucks & Vendors

4:00 – 7:00 PM: Caricatures with Joe Ferris

Hand drawn caricatures for a small fee.

5:00 – 9:00 PM: Kid’s Inflatable Fun Zone & Giant Lawn Games

Includes multiple themed bounces houses, several obstacle courses, slides, and giant outdoor lawn games. Fun Zone will light up at night. Fun Zone Bracelets: $20 for 1, $35 for 2, and $10 for any additional bracelet. Bracelets are only valid for the day of purchase. Must be within the same household to access the discounted pricing. Ticket sales end at 8:00 PM.

5:00 – 9:00 PM: Full Face Art by Art Bucket

Full face art for a small fee.

6:00 – 9:00 PM: Live Music Featuring Hodge Podge

Acoustic rock band, playing hits spanning the 60’s to the present.

*All events on July 1st to take place in Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park.

11:00 AM: Cow Plop: Best 4th In The North Fundraiser

Tickets: $20 each. Grand Prize: $1,000. The winner does not need to be present to win. If the plop touches multiple boxes, each of those numbers will split the grand prize. This fundraiser is being made possible by Lillie Valley Farm. Live streamed on the Best 4th in the North Facebook page or live at Lillie Valley Farm.

12:15 PM: Patriotic Performance by Champlain Valley Chorale

Steps of the Town of Ticonderoga Community Building. Join the Champlain Valley Chorale in the singing of popular patriotic songs.

12:30 PM: Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Steps of the Town of Ticonderoga Community Building. Reading by Mark Wright, Town of Ticonderoga Supervisor.

1:15 PM: Parade Route To Close

From Welcome To Ticonderoga Sign on Wicker Street to the Monument and down Montcalm Street to Tower Avenue.

1:45 PM: Annual Running of the Montcalm Mile

Parade Route. Runners of all ages are invited to participate. Advanced registration required via the La Chute Road Runners online registration link. Brought to you by the La Chute Road Runners.

2:00 PM: Annual Patriotic Parade: 2025 Grand Marshal – John Bartlett

Downtown Ticonderoga: Wicker Street & Montcalm Street. The bandstand will be in front of the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Office. Music and sound system by DJ Cruz. Masters of Ceremony will be Mark Barber and Bridgette Cruz. Join TACC for a family friendly patriotic bash with giveaways, music, & more!

Parade Applications

Parade applications as well as updated rules and regulations are available at www.timainstreet.org, www.ticonderogany.com, or at the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce office. Parade applications can be returned via email to tmsp@timainstreet.org or to the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce at 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1, Ticonderoga NY 12883. TACC serves as the parade registrar office. All participants must pre-register by June 23rd, 2025. NO day of entries will be allowed. All businesses, organizations, committees, and community members are encouraged to participate in the parade (must be family friendly and follow all parade guidelines). There is no charge for participation in the parade.
