01 May TACC Continues To Expand & Plan For The Future
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) continues to expand their membership, services, programs, partnerships, team, and overall leadership within the Ticonderoga Area. The TACC serves as the Ticonderoga Area Business & Visitor Center. The TACC President & CEO along with the Board of Directors recently held a planning session to strategize for the future of the organization and the area as a whole by creating goals and objectives for 2018 to 2022 under each of the Chambers key areas of focus.
“We are truly honored to continue to serve, market, and promote our Members, Partners, and the entire Ticonderoga Area to be best of our ability. As our membership and partnerships grow so will the member benefits, services, programs, events, and leadership we provide. We have a wonderful team including our staff, board members, ambassadors and volunteers that continue to strengthen and expand. As a TACC Member not only do you have access to wonderful benefits but you are supporting all of our efforts, services, programs, and events” shared Matthew Courtright – TACC President & CEO.
The Chambers Key Areas of Focus are: Membership: Membership Services, Growth, & Retention, Business: Business Services, Support, & Development, Tourism: Marketing, Events, & Visitor Services, Communication: Public, Business, & Community Relations, Leadership: Partnerships, Economic Development/Sustainability, & Advocacy, and Organization: Finance, Staff & Board of Directors/Ambassadors. In addition to the goals and objectives the Chamber has created an acronym of TACC #CARES for 2018 and 2019 focusing on Commitment, Advocacy, Resources, Economic Development, and Sustainability for their members and partners, the services and programs the offer, and for the entire Ticonderoga Area.
“You will see TACC #CARES being used throughout the year ahead. In addition you will see the expanded use of the TACC THINK LOCAL campaign which focuses on shopping, spending, and supporting locally with the tag line of Your Community – Your Future,” shared Courtright.
The TACC serves, markets, and promotes their Members, Partners, and the Ticonderoga Area including Ticonderoga, Crown Point, Hague, Moriah, and Putnam, NY. The Chamber works hard each and every day to live their tag line and mission and strive to reach their vision.

Did You Know: The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce serves, markets and promotes the Ticonderoga Area including Ticonderoga, Crown Point, Hague, Moriah, and Putnam, NY, initiates and provides programs, services, and leadership, provides an array of benefits for its members including member business referrals, marketing, trainings, support, and much more, provides a variety of business support, services, and resources, serves as the Visitor & Business Center for the Ticonderoga Area, answers many visitor and community questions and requests via phone, email, walk-in, and mail, sends visitor information packets upon request, assists area organizations with their events and projects, maintains the areas online calendar of events, assists in maintaining the Lake Champlain Region Calendar & Business Directory, serves as the Community Coordinator for all Ticonderoga Area & Lake Champlain Region Fishing Tournaments, plans and hosts free community events and events to draw visitors, maintains the information booth located at Liberty Monument, the Information Hut at the Fort Ticonderoga intersection, and an Information Board at the Amtrak station in Ticonderoga, is affiliated with the Lake Champlain Region Visitor Center, provides copying, faxing, and scanning services, and so much more.

The Chamber works closely with other area organizations and economic development agencies on a regular basis including the Essex County Industrial Development Agency and PRIDE of Ticonderoga.
In addition the Chamber has Committee Chairs that are not TACC Board Members including June Curtis, Farmers Market Advisor and Theresa Abare, Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony Chairperson.
