Second Annual Career & Curriculum Day held at Ticonderoga High School

The Ticonderoga High School Class of 2026, in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, are pleased to announce that the second annual “Ticonderoga High School Career Showcase Day” was held on Wednesday, April 1st at Ticonderoga High School. This event was once again part of the Chamber’s Employment Opportunities and Workforce Development Programs.

Students coordinated with area businesses and organizations to learn about careers in a fun, interactive environment. The day began with a welcome from the school superintendent, students and the Chamber, followed by keynote speaker Renate Mars Devin, who delivered an inspiring presentation about the importance of confidence, believing in yourself, and pursuing your goals.

Following the assembly, students had the opportunity to attend the Career Causeway in the high school cafeteria, where students from all grade levels met with local businesses and organizations to learn more about employment opportunities and career paths. The event concluded with an array of industry panels throughout the afternoon, allowing students to ask questions and hear directly from professionals in a variety of fields.

“Career Showcase Day gave students the chance to have real conversations and learn more about careers they may not have considered before. It was exciting to see everyone asking questions, making connections, and discovering new opportunities,” stated Gracie Wells, a senior at Ticonderoga High School.

Another senior, Alexander Belanger, reflected, “The industry panels and Career Causeway helped students explore careers they are interested in by hearing directly from professionals. It was a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about different career paths, and make valuable connections.”

The Career Showcase featured representatives from a wide variety of industries, giving students the opportunity to explore careers in healthcare, public safety, education, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, military service, business, and more.

“We are incredibly proud to continue this partnership with Ticonderoga High School for the second annual Career Showcase,” shared Megan Bambara. “This event gives students the opportunity to explore careers in an interactive way while connecting with local businesses and organizations. We appreciate the support of the school, the participating businesses, and the students who helped make the day such a success.”
