Ticonderoga Fly-In To Be Held June 6th

The Town of Ticonderoga is thrilled to announce that the third annual Ticonderoga Fly-In will take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ticonderoga Municipal Airport. The airport is located on Shore-Airport Road in Ticonderoga, NY. The event will include exhibitions, demonstrations, aircraft on display, interactive activities, important airport information, and more. A rain date of Sunday, June 7th has also been scheduled. An announcement will be made on the Town of Ticonderoga Facebook page.

The Fly-In will also be an opportunity for the Town of Ticonderoga to showcase the airport, recent improvements and investments, as well as possible future plans. Community members and visitors are encouraged to attend. There will be a shuttle running from Downtown Ticonderoga to the airport beginning at 10:00 AM, with departures every half hour.

New and featured experiences for 2026 include opportunities for kids to receive a “boarding pass” as they complete educational and interactive activity stations, a chance to tour a plane with Bob Salls, and the opportunity to meet and learn from a representative of Habitat for Aviation. Visiting pilots will also be welcomed with complimentary food.

“We’re excited to bring back the Fly-In for another year and continue building on its success,” said Tom Thatcher, Town of Ticonderoga Board Member and Airport Committee representative. “This event is a great way to connect the community with aviation in a fun, hands-on environment. From interactive activities for kids to the opportunity to get up close with aircraft, there’s something for everyone. We also encourage attendees to learn more about the future of our airport and the role it plays in our community.”

The Ticonderoga Municipal Airport is an important aspect of economic development for the community and is utilized more frequently than many realize. At the Ticonderoga Fly-In, attendees will be able to connect with Town of Ticonderoga officials to learn more about the airport, ask questions, and tour airport facilities.

“I encourage residents and visitors alike to attend this exciting community event and take advantage of the opportunity to experience our municipal airport firsthand,” said Jim O’Bryan, Town of Ticonderoga Supervisor. “The airport is a valuable asset to our community and plays an important role in supporting economic growth, tourism, and connectivity. Events like the Fly-In help showcase its impact while bringing people together.”
