14 Sep 2021 Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony: RSVP & Submit Nominations
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will host their Annual Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 6:00 PM. The free dinner and awards ceremony will be held at the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites, located at 260 Burgoyne Road in Ticonderoga.
The dinner and awards ceremony will be used as an opportunity to recognize all area businesses, organizations, and volunteers as well as the 2021 “Business of the Year,” “Organization/Non-Profit of the Year,” “Chamber Volunteer of the Year,” “Community Volunteer of the Year,” and give out TACC Appreciation Awards.
In 2020, awards were given to certain individuals, businesses, organizations, and committees who not only support the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, but give of themselves for the betterment of the Ticonderoga Area and the community as a whole. While a large gathering and dinner did not take place in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chamber is looking forward to the return of the Community Appreciation Dinner.
Nominations for the 2021 Business of the Year, Organization/Non-Profit of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Community Volunteer of the Year, as well as TACC Appreciation Awards are now being accepted. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office located at 94 Montcalm Street in downtown Ticonderoga or at www.ticonderogany.com. Forms can also be requested via email. Nominations must be received by October 8, 2021.
“This community appreciation event is to honor those individuals, businesses, organizations and committees who work so diligently to provide an array of opportunities and growth for the Ticonderoga area throughout the year. Without the dedication, drive, and true spirit of volunteerism and the commitment of the businesses and organizations within the area so many initiatives, events, and projects would not be possible. A big thank you to Theresa Abare who volunteers each year to help coordinate this event, the Best Western for being our host, and all of the sponsors,” stated Matthew Courtright – President & CEO, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.
At last year’s event, the recipient of the Business of the Year award was Burleigh’s Luncheonette, Organization of the Year was awarded to the Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus, Chamber Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Renee Scuderi, and the Community Volunteer of the Year award was given to Sue Liddell.
TACC Appreciation Awards were given to Ticonderoga Police Department, Essex County Public Health, Mary Jean Priore, Bobbie Jean Fish, Wind-Chill Factory, Tonya Whitford Condon, Boy Scouts Troop 73, Cathy White Liddell, Five Nations Golf, Seth Gould, Montcalm Liquor, & Nancy Quesnel – Tiny Tim Program.
All menu items for this event, which is a casual buffet dinner, are donated by area businesses and organizations to thank and honor area volunteers. If you are interested in making a menu item donation for the 2021 Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony, contact the Chamber office.
