Ticonderoga Fly-In & Community Open House To Be Held June 8^th

Event To Showcase Ticonderoga Municipal Airport

The Town of Ticonderoga is thrilled to announce that the first Ticonderoga Fly-In will take place on Saturday, June 8^th, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ticonderoga Municipal Airport. The airport is located on Shore-Airport Road in Ticonderoga, NY. The event will include exhibitions, demonstrations, aircraft on display, food trucks, important airport information, and more. A rain date of Sunday, June 9^th has also been scheduled.

The Fly-In will also be an opportunity for the Town of Ticonderoga to showcase the airport, recent improvements, and investments, as well as possible future plans. Community members and visitors are encouraged to attend.

“Our hope is that residents will come out and see what the airport is all about. The Ticonderoga Municipal Airport is truly an asset for the community. I am honored to be leading the coordination of this event with the support of the Airport Committee and the Town of Ticonderoga. Mark your calendars for June 8^th and come enjoy the first and hopefully annual Ticonderoga Fly-In,” stated Tom Thatcher, Town of Ticonderoga Board Member.

The Ticonderoga Municipal Airport is an important aspect of economic development for the community and is utilized more frequently than many realize. At the Ticonderoga Fly-In attendees will be able to connect with Town of Ticonderoga officials to learn more about the airport, ask questions, and tour airport facilities.

This event is a terrific opportunity for residents and visitors to become familiar with this critical transportation artery while experiencing a day of fun with family and friends,” commented, Mark Wright, Town of Ticonderoga Supervisor.
