Billy-Bob’s Orchard To Host October After Business Mixer & Networking Event

Billy-Bob’s Orchard will host the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) October After Business Mixer & Networking Event on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM.  This event will also showcase their new event and banquet space. The team at Billy-Bob’s will also be providing a campfire outside for attendees to enjoy. Billy-Bob’s Orchard is located at 720 County Route 2 in Putnam, NY. Sponsors providing door prizes are Brannock Properties, Bodette’s Barbecue Catering, Burleigh’s Luncheonette, Huddy & Co, and UVHN Elizabethtown Community Hospital Ticonderoga Campus. All COVID-19 guidelines will be provided upon arrival and during the event.

The Chamber’s “After Business Mixers” provide a networking forum for Chamber Members and area business people in addition to showcasing the site of the host as well as promoting the door prize sponsors. Networking and connecting with other Chamber Members is a key component of Chamber membership and marketing your business.

Chamber members, area businesses, and organizations are encouraged to take advantage of this and all networking opportunities. Join the Chamber to reconnect with area businesses and organizations, meet new people, and take advantage of the opportunity to hear from the hosts. Billy-Bob’s is an apple orchard providing pick your own apples and pre-picked apples. Varieties include Red Delicious, Empire Jona Macs, Cortlands, Honey Crisps, Ida Reds, Macouns and of course Macs! They also offer jams, jellies, donuts, cider, apparel and more. Billy-Bob’s Orchard hosts a yearly family oriented and fun filled AppleFest event each October. An event and banquet space are now available on site for up to 50 people which is handicap accessible. A firepit is provided as well. Myth: I don’t have time to go to After Business Mixers.
Busted: You don’t have to be there from 5:30 – 7:00. Stop by for 15 or 20 minutes and make some great new contacts.

Myth: It’s awkward…I won’t know anybody there.
Busted: Ask for a Chamber Ambassador or Board Member when you arrive. These outgoing volunteers will introduce you to the crowd and then you will know lots of people. You can also connect with an Ambassador, Board Member, or TACC Staff Member ahead of time.

Myth: I don’t need to go – I’m on social media.
Busted: There is no substitute for face-to-face networking. People do business with people they know…so come to After Hours and get to know more people.
