20 May Bodette’s Barbecue Smokehouse Opens & Keeps Plans On Track During Pandemic
Bodette’s Barbecue Smokehouse recently opened in Ticonderoga, NY. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly effected the local economy, Joe Bodette, Owner of Bodette’s Barbecue Smokehouse has continued to move forward with his plans for the opening of the smokehouse and reorganization of The Candy Corner which are both located at 133 Montcalm Street. Joe is a strong supporter of the community and the region. He continues to have a positive attitude even amongst the current situation and you can now enjoy the smell and taste of their barbecue on main street in Ticonderoga.
Bodette’s will offer authentic, wood smoked barbecue available for takeout including pork, chicken, ribs, brisket, sausage, and homemade side dishes. Options are available for one or 100. Family packs and party packs are available. They are currently open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM and currently offering curbside take-out and local delivery if time and staffing permits. They encourage patrons to call ahead so they can have orders ready when you arrive. When we closed our restaurant a few years back to focus solely on catering and open The Candy Corner in our space, we didn’t realize how we would be missed. Preparation for each catering event usually brings several people stopping in wanting to buy barbecue. So, we thought, why not try to accommodate people by making our barbecue available for takeout. With so many of our catering engagements on hold due to the Corona Virus, it has proven to be a good decision. From the time I decided to look into opening my business in Ticonderoga, TACC has provided support, information and assistance with available resources.
