Burleigh’s Luncheonette Ribbon Cutting To Take Place May 12th: Marks Completion of Renovation & Expansion Project

An anchor business is nearing the completion of a massive renovation, expansion, and investment at their restaurant in Downtown Ticonderoga. Burleigh’s Luncheonette located at 121 Montcalm Street will mark the completion of their renovation project with a Ribbon Cutting Celebration in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 12th at 5:00 PM. The restaurant is tentatively scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday, May 16th, 2022.

Tours and refreshments will follow the ribbon cutting. All attendees will also be able to enter to win a gift certificate giveaway. In addition to the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the Town of Ticonderoga, the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, other local organizations and businesses will participate in the ribbon cutting event.

Burleigh’s Luncheonette is a 1950’s themed restaurant located in the heart of historic downtown Ticonderoga, New York which is owned and operated by the Barber Family. Burleigh’s will take you on a nostalgic trip back to the 1950’s while you enjoy their delicious American style food. The updates and renovations to the restaurant will offer patrons an expanded 50’s themed space, a welcoming hostess counter, bakery case, new restrooms, additional seating options, and much more.

“The last several years have been a challenge for us all. It has certainly also been a challenging experience completely renovating Burleigh’s Luncheonette while keeping specific aspects of its historic charm that the community knows and loves. Slattery Construction and Tile has done an outstanding job leading this renovation. The support from our communities prior and during this project has been absolutely amazing. You have allowed us to grow and expand to better serve you and the many visitors to the Ticonderoga Area. We are honored to be part of such an amazing region and a collaborative business community dedicated to our continued collective success. We love where we live and want to do all we can to assist the community in its continued growth. Thank you to the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce for your unwavering support, dedication, and services as well as many other local businesses and organizations who have made our success possible” Mark Barber, Co-Owner & Operator of Burleigh’s Luncheonette.

The ribbon cutting will also be an opportunity for the Barber Family to thank the local community for their support, and to showcase the array of local businesses and services they used during this renovation project.

Local businesses and services utilized included: Slattery Construction & Tile, Builders First Source, Vilardo Architecture, Aubuchon Hardware, Champlain Valley Heating, Plumbing & AC, Charboneau Supply, Geiser Repair Service, Dick Malaney Electric, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance, and the Town of Ticonderoga.

Regional businesses and services used were: Sysco, ABC Restaurant Supply, Lake City Fire, Green Mountain Electric Supply, and Alltech Integrations.

While most items needed were sourced locally, any products the Barbers were not able to obtain within the region were ordered from American Made companies including American Tin Ceilings and Vitro Seating Products.

The Barber family extends a special thanks to Rollin Slattery, Robin Slattery, Joseph Vilardo, James Cawley, Robert Salls, Mark Jacoby, Dave Burrows, Zack Michalak, Chris Slattery, and others that have assisted with this project.

“The Ticonderoga Area is continuing to move forward. We truly are small towns with big opportunities. We are so thankful for the constant commitment of our local businesses and organizations as well as our community members and visitors. Together the community will continue on its positive path forward. A big thank you to the entire Barber Family, for this investment proves their faith in the growth of the Ticonderoga Area. It is our honor to work with you,” stated Erin Mullen, TACC Member Service & Event Manger.
