09 Jul Chamber To Launch Young Professionals Group
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is pleased to announce that they are launching the Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals Network to address the needs of area young professionals. TACC over the last two years has been speaking to young professionals, conducting informal surveys via employers, and listening to the community in regards to their concern of keeping young professionals in the Ticonderoga Area.
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network will host a launch event on Thursday, July 25th from 4:30 – 6:00 PM at the Ticonderoga Municipal Beach. The beach is located off Black Point Road in Ticonderoga. The event will include a variety of beach and summer games, soft drinks, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. This launch is a non-alcoholic event.
The Young Professionals Network committee has been working hard to establish a vision, mission, and goals for the group.
Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals Network: Ages 21-45
Vision: To create a connection with our young professionals and the community, increasing general knowledge of the area, by extension boosting resident retention, creating a social outlet, and improving the standard of living.
Mission: This group is created to provide low stress networking events for young professionals in the Ticonderoga Area as well as providing recreation and volunteer opportunities to give back to the community in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.
Current Yearly Goals:
*Quarterly Mix and Mingle/Networking Gathering
*Two times host an outing either recreational or to an area attractio
*Two times coordinate a volunteer opportunity or participate in a larger event needing volunteers.
