05 Mar Co-Op To Host March Business Networking Event
The Ticonderoga Natural Foods Co-Op in Downtown Ticonderoga will host the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) March Networking Event and After Business Mixer on Thursday, March 21st from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. The Ticonderoga Natural Foods Co-Op is located at 109 Montcalm Street in Ticonderoga, NY.
Sponsors providing door prizes that attendees can enter to win include the Hot Biscuit Diner, Mountain Lake Consignment, Ti Automotive, and the UVMHN Elizabethtown Community Hospital Ticonderoga Campus.
“As the Ti Co-op begins its 10th year, we are excited to kick off our celebration by hosting the After Business Mixer on March 21st. Over the years, the Co-Op’s member owners and staff have been building “…YOUR community marketplace for locally sourced food and specialty products.” Thanks to the hard work, dedication, and support of so many member-owners, friends, neighboring businesses and non-profits, Ticonderoga Natural Foods Co-op continues to grow and improve. As part of the event the Ticonderoga Natural Foods Co-Op will have a basket raffle and coupons available upon check-in. They will also a variety of complimentary samples from local farmers and suppliers including soup, bread, cheese, beer, and cider. The Co-Op has invited local suppliers to join them to provide an opportunity for attendees to meet them as they sample their products. In addition, the Co-Op will be sharing information on how to make tasty and healthy meals with store ingredients, how to shop the bulk section to save money as well as reduce packaging.
The Chamber’s “After Business Mixers” provide a networking forum for Chamber Members, area business people, and organizations. In addition, the networking events provide an opportunity to showcase the host as well as promote the door prize sponsors. Networking and connecting with other Chamber Members is a key component of Chamber membership and marketing your business or organization.
Chamber Members, area businesses, and organizations are encouraged to take advantage of this and all networking opportunities. Myth: I don’t have time to go to After Business Mixers.
Busted: You don’t have to be there from 5:30 – 7:00. Stop by for 15 or 20 minutes and make some great new contacts.
Myth: It’s awkward…I won’t know anybody there.
Busted: Ask for a Chamber Ambassador or Board Member when you arrive. These outgoing volunteers will introduce you to the crowd and then you will know lots of people. You can also connect with an Ambassador, Board Member, or TACC Staff Member ahead of time.
Myth: I don’t need to go – I’m on social media.
Busted: There is no substitute for face-to-face networking. People do business with people they know…so come to After Hours and get to know more people.
