15 Apr Essex County Career & Employment Expo to Take Place May 7th
The Essex County Career & Employment Expo will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Essex County Fairgrounds, 3 Sisco Street, Westport, NY. Open to all schools throughout Essex County, this dynamic event connects students, job seekers, and community members with local employers and workforce resources.
Formerly known as the Essex County Community Job Fair, the reimagined Expo places a strong emphasis on hands-on career exploration, interactive experiences, and meaningful engagement between participants and industry professionals. Over 400 students from Essex County will be in attendance.
With the theme “Explore. Experience. Engage.”, attendees will have the opportunity to discover a wide range of career pathways, participate in interactive demonstrations, and learn about job shadowing and workforce opportunities available throughout the region.
“This year, we are especially excited to continue building on the success of past events while bringing even more hands-on experiences to participants,” said Megan Bambara, Event Chairperson. “Having been involved over the past few years, it’s incredibly rewarding to help lead the Expo forward. We’re focused on creating interactive opportunities that allow students to truly engage with different industries and gain a deeper understanding of potential career paths.”
Local businesses, organizations, and industry leaders are encouraged to participate and showcase their work while connecting with the next generation of the workforce. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at the following levels:
