12 Oct HalloweenFest 2021 – Happy Halloween!
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC), Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) and Sun Community News are pleased to announce the schedule of events for HalloweenFest from October 22nd to October 31st,2021. The traditional Halloween celebration has expanded in a number of ways and now includes special Ticonderoga After Dark events brought to you by Sun Community News. TACC & TMSP are working with a number of businesses and organizations that will also be hosting events of the Halloween festivities or coordinating on specific aspects.
Friday, October 22nd:
7:00 PM – Haunted Hancock: Ticonderoga Historical Society/Hancock House
An evening of ghost stories featuring local soldiers, trappers, witches and otherworldly beings. The program will be held outdoors around a campfire. Attendees should dress warmly, and bring their own lawn chairs. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Reservations may be made by calling 518-585-7868 or via e-mail to tihistory@bridgepoint1.com. Refreshments will be served.
6:00-8:30 PM – Halloween Movie In The Park: Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park
Brought to you by Sun Community News & Ticonderoga Festival Guild. Family Friendly Movie – Hocus Pocus Rated: PG.
Join in the Halloween movie fun. A concession stand from The Candy Corner/Bodettes Barbecue Smokehouse as well as other refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring lawn chair, blanket, and warm clothes. Movie will start at 6:30 PM.
Saturday, October 23rd:
5:30/5:45 PM: Haunted Lantern Tours: Crown Point State Historic Site
Enjoy the cool autumn air as you learn about the sordid details of a past that will you’re your skin crawl and your mind wander. Saturday, October 23, and Friday, October 29. Cider and doughnuts at 5:30, tour at 5:45. Bring your flashlight, meet us outside the museum, and follow our storyteller around the grounds as they tell the bone chilling tales of Crown Point! FREE. All ages welcome.
7:30 – 10:00 PM: Haunted Trail: Lachute River Walk
A Ticonderoga After Dark event brought to you by Sun Community News in coordination with Boy Scouts Troop 73.
Enter if you dare to experience haunts and horror along the trail. Not recommended for anyone under the age of 10 years old. Enter at the Pocket Park next to Ticonderoga Flooring Covering. There will be an exit for those who do not want to enter the horror part of the trail. For those brave enough, remain on the trail until it ends at the Frasier Bridge.
12:00 Noon (Saturday) – 12:00 Noon (Sunday): 24 Hour Coffin Challenge – Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park Gazebo
A Ticonderoga After Dark event brought to you by Sun Community News
An 18 and over challenge. Call Susan or Nick at (518) 585-9173 until October 20th to register. Two random entrants will be chosen by Sun Community News to compete in the challenge. The participants must see who can stay in the coffin the longest while facing challenges and trivia. Security will be onsite. Spectators are encouraged but may not enter the roped off area. A grand prize of a large flat screen TV will be given to the winner.

2:00-4:00: PM Monster Mini Golf Party – Five Nations
Scare up some fun as you creep around the mini golf course!
Wednesday, October 27th:
4:00-6:00 PM: Pet Trick Or Treating and Costume Contest
Ticonderoga Animal Hospital
Prizes for funniest & scariest costumes.
Thursday, October 28th:
5:00-7:00 PM: Halloween Fun at Seymour’s Restaurant
Join us for a fun-filled Spooktacular evening. We will be showing a kid-friendly, Halloween movie starting at 5:30PM. Our young guests will also be provided with a goodie bag full of festive treats. Call Nadine or Benn for more details (518) 585-2801.
Friday, October 29th:
3:00 – 5:00 PM: Trick or Treating: Downtown Ticonderoga & Area Businesses
Participate in this FREE event. Candy will be given out by participating businesses &
organizations that have a pumpkin displayed (from Sun Community News) & at the Ticonderoga Community Building (compliments of the TMSP). Montcalm Street will be closed from Sunshine Laundry to 1888 Building/Ticonderoga Heritage Museum from 2:55 PM to 5:30 PM. No rain date.
5:00 – 5:15 PM: Witch & Zombie Parade: Montcalm Street
Dress as a witch or zombie and join the spooky walk/parade filled with music and dancing to end business trick or treating and kick start the Halloween festivities in Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park. To participate meet at the Pocket Park next to Ticonderoga Flooring at 4:55 PM and join the parade down to Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park.
5:30 – 8:30 PM: Monster Mash Dance Party: Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park
Come in your Halloween costume and enjoy music and dancing with your family and friends. Music provided by DJ Cruz. Glow necklaces will be provided. Soda and water will be available for purchase to benefit a local non-profit. Bring your own portable chair if needed.

Saturday, October 30th:
3:00 – 5:00 PM: Hague Trunk or Treat: Hague Volunteer Fire Department
The Hague Holiday Committee is honored to host trunk or treat once again this year at the Hague Volunteer Fire Department on West Hague Road! Stop by with your little goblin to enjoy our community’s decorated trunks to get those treats. Please, park across the road by the cemetery to join the fun in the parking lot behind the fire house!
6:30 – 8:30 PM: Pumpkin Walk & Campfire: LaChute River Trail
Jack-O-Lanterns will be displayed along the LaChute River Trail from Frazier Bridge (start) to the Foot Bridge (end). Recommended to park in the municipal lot next to the Ticonderoga Elks Lodge. Pumpkins will be carved by local school children & community members. If you would like to carve a pumpkin for the event or volunteer contact the Co-Op or the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Hot Cider & Treats will be available for purchase. Warm up around the Fire Pit, which will be located next to Frasier Bridge. Free event brought to you by the Ticonderoga Natural Foods Co-Op, Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce and Daughters 5.
Sunday, October 31st:
10:00 – 12:00 PM & 1:30 – 3:30 PM: Punky Noodles Halloween Party: Punky Noodles Children’s Museum
Throw on your costume and come craft, play games, and enjoy some Halloween themed snacks. Limited capacity. Drop off event. $20.00 per child. Ages 3 (potty trained) and up. To reserve your child’s spot, send a private message to Punky Noodles on facebook. Pre-registration and pre-payment required.
4:30 – 6:30 PM: Crown Point Trunk or Treat
