19 Dec January & New Year Kick Off Networking Event
January 17th, 2019 will kick off the New Year for the Ticonderoga Area Business Community. The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) January and New Year After Business Mixer will be hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga (at the Knights of Columbus in Downtown Ticonderoga). The networking event will take place from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Sponsors providing door prizes are Bridge Point Communication, Glens Falls National Bank, Maiden By The Lake, The Candy Corner, and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant.
The mixer will not only launch 2019 for the Chamber but will be the first TACC networking event the Kiwanis Club has hosted.

The Chamber’s “After Business Mixers” provide a networking forum for Chamber Members and area business people in addition to showcasing the site of the host as well as promoting the door prize sponsors. Networking is a key component of Chamber membership and marketing your business. Chamber members, area businesses, and organizations are encouraged to take advantage of this and all networking opportunities. Join the Chamber to reconnect with area businesses and organizations, meet new people, and take advantage of the opportunity to hear from the hosts. In addition, use this opportunity to share information with the Chamber and get to know all of our local businesses and organizations.
Kiwanis International (KI) is a service organization whose motto is “Serving the Children of the World.” The local Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga is a subsidiary of KI whose primary focus is to help the children in the greater Ticonderoga area including Ticonderoga, Hague, Crown Point and Putnam.
The Ticonderoga Kiwanis Scholarship Fund provides three annual scholarships to graduating seniors of the Ticonderoga High School and one scholarship to a graduating senior of the Crown Point High School who are going on to further their education after high school.

Examples of projects that Ticonderoga Kiwanis Club “major emphasis” have funded include the Ticonderoga Bicentennial Park, La Chute River boat dock, the Ticonderoga High School auditorium air-conditioning fund and Ticonderoga Elementary & Middle School playground equipment. For 2019 the major emphasis project will be the Key Club Snack Shack.
