Words from Businesses in Our Community

“The Chamber has gone through great change and growth over the last several years. We plan to continue to grow and expand our services and programs, offer expanded benefits to our members, as well as our marketing efforts by retaining and increasing membership, maintaining, strengthening and creating new partnerships and continuing to create a committed Chamber Team with staff, board members, ambassadors and volunteers to serve, market, and promote our members and the Ticonderoga Area as a whole,” stated Matthew Courtright – TACC Executive Director.

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is a driving force for the economic climate of our area. They (TACC Staff) are knowledgeable about their members and openly seek to promote them whenever they see an opportunity to do so. The TACC assists members with educational needs and business resources as well as representing its members on state and regional levels; always making sure to keep everything we have to offer in our area in the front of people’s minds. Bridge Point Communication is a proud member of TACC and finds its membership to be an integral part of doing business in our area,” Shana Macey – Owner of Bridge Point Communication and Crown Point Telephone Company

“I know of no other group that works as hard as TACC to promote our community,” Bill Grinnell, Town of Ticonderoga Supervisor

“We are thrilled to host TACC After Business Mixers and support Chamber events, initiatives, and programs. I am happy to see over the last two years how much the attendance for the mixers has grown. I truly enjoy the opportunity to mingle in the evening at different businesses, reconnect with other community members and meet new people. The Chamber is the first and strongest key to meeting other people within the Ticonderoga Area business community. We have forged many personal and business connections with a number of businesses, organizations, and community members. We have also created many friendships,” shared Katy & Andrew Rasmus – Owners & Operators of Libby’s Bakery Café.

“TACC is an invaluable North Country SBDC partner. Matt and Molly are our connection to the local business community. “The Crown Point Chamber Annual Meeting, our 5 year anniversary meeting, was a pivotal event. For those that could not be there, we would like to share our exciting new venture and next steps. All five officers felt and voted in unison for a new resolution and change in direction. We felt it time to recognize the success and vibrancy of the already strongly established, uniquely positioned, regional chamber in our area. We feel it makes the most sense to get behind and be part of something bigger than ourselves, and join forces with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC). We have worked these past five years with TACC and have seen Crown Point acknowledged and included in promotion and marketing under the able leadership of Matt Courtright. The time for us to join forces is now. The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce brings many more things to the table than we could ever hope to currently offer. The Crown Point Chamber will no longer exist in name or as a separate entity. But from Crown Point representation is already in place and growing. Shana Macey of Crown Point Telephone/Bridge Point Communication and Karen Hennessy of Sugar Hill Manor B&B both are already serving as officers on the TACC Board. Jodi Gibbs and Lena Robetoy currently serve as Chamber Ambassadors. I look expectantly forward to this next chapter in our town’s history. And I plan to continue to serve our town whole heartedly in this new venue in whatever ways I can. CP Chamber Board Member Ray Thatcher and I have already become TACC Ambassadors,” shared Nancy Ockrin – Owner of Stoney Lonesome B&B/Chairperson of the Crown Point Chamber.
