“Mountain Lake Consignment and Engraving is a business with a social purpose. Our goal is to bring a stronger connection between the people we support and our communities. We will sell and consign high quality repurposed clothing and in the future small home goods to the greater Essex County community and visitors.  We are eager to be able to showcase our engraving services, hand-crafted baskets from our Mountain Weavers’ Guild, and our fine-crafted wood products manufactured at Essex Industries, both of which are components of Mountain Lake Services.  This business will provide vast vocational opportunities to teach people in our programs how to be part of the larger workforce.  Being located in the center of Port Henry gives us an opportunity to be a hub of retail possibilities.  People can safely and easily walk to our fully accessible retail store.  We are excited to offer these services to continue to enrich our communities,” shared Steve Lewis, Senior Director of Employment Services.

The mission of Mountain Lake Services is to enrich the lives of people with developmental disabilities, their families and their communities. By offering a comprehensive range of services they ensure that they are indeed meeting the needs of the individuals they support, their families and their communities. They operate residences in 16 towns throughout County. In addition, Essex Industries, the Mountain Weavers’ Farm Store, and now Mountain Lake Consignment and Engraving are operated by Mountain Lake Services.

“We would like to thank Mountain Lake Services and their entire team for their continued dedication and investment in the Ticonderoga Area. We are excited to be working closely with them to not only welcome this new business but on an ongoing basis to better serve our region. As one of the largest employers in the Ticonderoga Area, Mountain Lake Services is committed to their employees and the communities they serve. It has been a privilege to work with them and we look forward to continued great things ahead. We truly are Small Towns with Big Opportunities,” stated Matthew Courtright – TACC President & CEO.

“The reuse of the former Stewart’s Shop by Mountain Lake Services is a great idea,” Moriah Chamber of Commerce President Lohr McKinstry said. “It’s a central location for their consignment store and we think it will be very successful. Our hats are off to them for creating an exceptional new business.”
