National Job Action Day: Employment Opportunities & Services Available

National Job Action Day: TACC Plans Ticonderoga Area Employment Opportunities Program & Services

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will be participating in a nationwide effort to provide free assistance to community members seeking employment. TACC will be utilizing National Job Action Day on Monday, November 6th to promote their Employment Opportunities Program as the go to location for job and career resources in the Ticonderoga Area. This TACC program was launched to assist businesses with their employment needs.

On Monday, November 6th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the TACC Office, those seeking employment will be able to come meet with Megan Bambara, TACC Employment Opportunities Coordinator to learn how to navigate the Ticonderoga Area Employment Opportunities database and find opportunities that match their skills and interests. Multiple work stations will be available for area residents and those looking to work in the area to explore an array of employment opportunities. Additional TACC staff members will also be available to provide assistance.

The TACC Team will also be able to assist participants with resume building if needed. In addition, the Chamber is teaming up with several local employers to offer mock interviews to help sharpen your interview skills.

Complimentary refreshments sponsored by Walmart of Ticonderoga will be available. All participants will also be able to enter to win several door prizes. The TACC Office is located at 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1 in Ticonderoga, NY.

“National Job Action Day is observed annually on the first Monday in November. In coordination with this national effort, TACC is encouraging people to really explore the opportunities available in the Ticonderoga Area and apply for positions that match their skills and interests. Together we need to ensure our business have employees to succeed and we are creating an environment where job seekers are comfortable accessing resources available to them. Please stop by the TACC Office, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, have a snack, enter to win prizes, and most importantly explore job and career opportunities,” shared Megan Bambara – TACC Employment Opportunities Coordinator.
