Small Business Development Center:

The Small Business Development Center assists North Country entrepreneurs, small businesses, and industry through advising, business plan and financial plan development services, training, and demographic and industry specific research. The SBDC is a great resource if you are starting a business or for general business assistance.

Adirondack Economic Development Corporation:

AEDC provides small business counseling, training, business plan and financial plan development services, training, technical assistance, as well as small business financing/loan programs for startups and existing business expansion. AEDC also coordinates regional, state, and federal grants when available.

Adirondack North Country Association & Center For Businesses In Transition:

ANCA’s key goal is to strengthen the foundation for business development with a focus on small businesses, creating more family sustaining jobs in rural communities, increase economic diversity and building opportunities for a more efficient economy. ANCA in coordination with regional partners including the TACC offers an array of services for businesses planning to transition and entrepreneurs interested in business opportunities.

Essex County Industrial Development Agency

The Essex County Industrial Development Agency serves as a strong regional partner. They can provide a number of financing options through loan and bond programs as well as economic  development incentives including straight lease back and PILOT programs. They also provide regulatory assistance, infrastructure development, and workforce development.

NYS Empire State Development:

NYS Empire State Development provides services and resources to grow your business in  New York State including tax based incentives, operational support, growth support, innovation  development support, and business funding opportunities via NYS. ESD directs an array of programs and initiatives supporting small business growth and helping entrepreneurs maximize opportunities for success.

PRIDE of Ticonderoga:

PRIDE of Ticonderoga is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of connecting and enhancing the community through housing restoration, downtown revitalization, historic preservation, and community development programs.  PRIDE provides technical assistance, community project management services, and grant assistance services. PRIDE has a successful track record in obtaining and administrator numerous grants including the NYS Main Street Grant Program.

Lake Champlain Lake George Regional Planning Board:
The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board operates a regionally based Revolving Loan Fund program and other funding opportunities that provides financing to support the growth of small businesses through the five-county area. The Loan Fund provides low cost, short term financing to businesses that are unable to obtain conventional bank financing. Additional funding programs may be available.

North Country Workforce Development Board:
The North Country Workforce Development Board works to meet the workforce needs across the region for employers, job seekers, and veterans. They also provide training opportunities, an array of resources, and oversee the OneWorkSource Centers that bring employment and training services to one location, making it easier for job seekers to find gainful employment and for employers to find trained employees.

National Grid Economic Development Programs:
National Grid offers an array of economic development programs and funding opportunities including community development programs, main street/commercial district revitalization program, marketing programs, site development programs, energy infrastructure programs, energy efficiency, renewable energy programs, and more.

Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance:
The Ti Revitalization Alliance is local development corporation established by and overseen by the Town of Ticonderoga. They offer an entrepreneurship loan fund, work to obtain private investment, and operate Ti Works in Downtown Ticonderoga. Ti Works is a co-working space, open to the public. As an LDC the Alliance also assists the community with gathering important data and information.
