The Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals Network is a group dedicated to addressing the needs of area young professionals. TACC over the last two years has been speaking to young professionals, conducting informal surveys via employers, and listening to the community in regards to their concern of keeping young professionals in the Ticonderoga Area.
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network originally launched in July of 2019 and hosted several gatherings throughout the year and in 2020 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Young Professionals Network committee has established a vision, mission, and goals for the group. Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals Network is for young professionals within the Ticonderoga Area, ages 21-45.
“The Young Professionals are the next generation who will be dedicated to and growing the community as whole. Working as group directly with the Chamber allows us to understand and access all of the resources available to us and accomplish our current and future goals, as well as reach more potential young professionals. Just as important, this group will provide a social and professional network for area young professionals. The Ticonderoga Area is an amazing place and our future is truly bright. I am excited to be taking on the Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals Chair role in 2022 to be part of making the Ticonderoga Area an exceptional place to live, work, and visit,” shared Courtney Shaner – Julie & Co. Realty.
Vision: To create a connection with our young professionals and the community, increasing general knowledge of the area, by extension boosting resident retention, creating a social outlet, and improving the standard of living.
Mission: This group is created to provide low stress networking events for young professionals in the Ticonderoga Area as well as providing recreation and volunteer opportunities to give back to the community in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.
Yearly Goals:
*Quarterly Mix and Mingle/Networking Gathering
*Two outings to either recreational opportunities or to area attractions/businesses.
*Two volunteer opportunities or participate in a larger event needing volunteers.
“I am excited to be leading this group with Courtney and area young professionals. It is so important to ensure our young professionals feel connected to their community and are able to establish strong bonds. Our hope is that this network will continue to grow. All Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals are welcome to contact me, stop by the office, or attend our next event to get more information,” shared Erin Mullen – TACC Member Service & Event Manager.
The Ticonderoga Area Young Professionals Networking is seeking additional committee members to plan for the future and guide ongoing activities. Any TACC Member who is interested in participating or simply receive Ticonderoga Area Young Professional communications, can contact the Chamber Office.
