Ti-Works Opens In Ticonderoga – Grand Opening To Be Held August 27th

The Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance has recently opened Ti-Works, the new “co-working space” in downtown Ticonderoga.  After a three month delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the workspace is now open.  It’s naturally socially distanced with cubicles and open space, and disinfected daily according to CDC guidelines for office spaces.

A Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting event will take place on Thursday, August 27th at 4:30 PM in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Light refreshments will be served following the ribbon cutting as well as an open house to check out the new space until 5:30 PM. Masks are required and no more than 50 people are able to attend the event. Ti-Works is located at 174 Lake George Avenue, Suite A in Ticonderoga, NY.

Co-working spaces have been popular throughout the country in recent years as remote working and the gig economy have changed the workplace.  Similar spaces exist in Saranac Lake, Glens Falls, Saratoga, and Lake Placid.  Millions of people are now working remotely, juggling families and home space, and facing broadband and cell signal challenges.  Ti-Works provides a quiet place to work, reliable Internet and cell phone connections, printer/scanner, and a place to have small meetings.  The space includes four private cubicles, each partitioned from the others and furnished with a large desk and office chair, a conference room with seating for eight people, and common lounge space.  Users will have access to a color printer/scanner, broadband Internet service, an ADA accessible bathroom and kitchenette with refrigerator, coffeemaker, and microwave.  There is also excellent cell phone reception for all carriers from anywhere in the space.

Pricing is designed to fit a variety of work needs.  Private dedicated cubicles are available on a monthly basis ($200/month) or weekly basis ($60/week).   Monthly memberships are also available for those who want to access on a drop-in basis and don’t need a dedicated space ($125/month).  Single day access is available for just $15/day.  There’s also a Grand Opening Special – your first week for $30.

“We are so excited to open this much needed workplace in Ticonderoga.  Ti-Works will be an enterprising and energetic place for people to work and meet in Ticonderoga”, said Ti-Alliance’s Executive Director Donna Wotton.   “It’s in a perfect location in downtown Ti with easy parking and walking access to everything.  There’s a changing energy in our downtown and this type of resource fits right in with the type of new workers that we need to support and attract.”

“Getting Ti-Works open this week was a perfect example of how the Alliance can work to make something a reality.  We could not have done it without our partners.  Mary Sears Mazzotte, the owner of 174 Lake George Avenue created a newly renovated space for us.  Our furnishings were donated by Crossroads Billing Services in Newburgh, NY, board members Scott Hearburg and Chris Mallon drove down to Newburgh with a trailer to pick up the furnishings, our work crew met the truck to unload and assemble the cubicles, Mark Harrison and Hudson Headwaters Health Network donated our chairs, and the Ticonderoga Natural Foods Coop gave us our conference table.  Everyone pitched in to make this project happen!”

“We are excited to welcome Ti-Works to the Ticonderoga Area community. This co-working space will provide an important service that is much needed at a time where so many community members and visitors are working remotely. This project will complement the many services available via the Chamber. We often are contacted by organizations and others community members in need of spaces like this and the Chamber is typically already in use by our members, businesses, and organizations. I would also like to give our thanks and appreciation to Mary Sears Mazzotte and family for their continued dedication to the improvement of Ticonderoga. They are truly an asset to the region. We invite members, business, organizations, and community members to join us to welcome Ti-Works on August 27th,” stated Matthew Courtright – TACC President & CEO.
