Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Inaugural 2026 Student Leaders of the Year

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the recipients of the inaugural Student Leader of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding Junior students from Ticonderoga, Crown Point, and Moriah Central Schools who demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact in their schools and communities.

Presented by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by University of Vermont Health – Elizabethtown Community Hospital, the Student Leader of the Year Award celebrates students who embody the values of responsibility, kindness, service, and leadership. These students serve as role models among their peers and represent the future leaders of our region.

Students were invited to apply for the award by submitting the application including information about their leadership experiences along with a letter of recommendation from a school staff member. Applications were then blindly reviewed by a group of Chamber volunteers, including Board Members and Ambassadors.

The 2026 Student Leader of the Year Award recipients are:

  • Crown Point Central School: Addison James
  • Moriah Central School: Alyssa Courtright
  • Ticonderoga Central School: Carter Mack

“We are excited to recognize these students and celebrate the leadership they are already demonstrating within their schools and communities. Please join us in congratulating these young adults,” said Megan Bambara, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Employment Opportunities & Workforce Development Coordinator. “Investing in our youth and recognizing their talents, dedication, and involvement is an important part of building a strong future workforce and a thriving community.”

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to recognize Addison, Alyssa, and Carter for their accomplishments and looks forward to celebrating the continued impact these young leaders will make in the future.

The Chamber would also like to thank University of Vermont Health – Elizabethtown Community Hospital for sponsoring this award and supporting our workforce development initiatives that highlight and encourage youth leadership throughout the Ticonderoga Area. The Student Leader of the Year Awards are part of the Chamber’s ongoing Employment & Educational Opportunities programs in coordination with local school districts. Stay tuned for a 2025/2026 Program Year in Review TACC will be issuing.
