02 Mar Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Launches Student Leader of the Year Award
The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Student Leader of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding student leadership and community involvement throughout the region.
Presented to one junior student at Ticonderoga High School, Crown Point Central School, and Moriah Central School, this award celebrates students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, initiative, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact within their schools and communities.
The Student Leader of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding local junior who serves as a role model among their peers and embodies the leadership values of responsibility, dedication, kindness, and service. Through their contributions both in and outside of school, the recipient exemplifies the spirit of youth leadership and the potential to help shape a vibrant future for the Ticonderoga Area.
Information and applications are available through each school’s guidance office. Juniors may return their completed application and letter of recommendation to TACC via email at coordinator@ticonderogany.com or by mail/delivery to 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1, Ticonderoga, NY 12883. Applicants may also submit a bulleted email outlining the required information and attach their letter of recommendation.
One junior student from each school, Ticonderoga, Crown Point, and Moriah, will be selected by the Chamber Review Committee to receive this honor.
“We are incredibly excited to launch this new initiative,” said Megan Bambara, TACC Employee Opportunities & Outreach Coordinator. “Working closely with our local school districts on career and workforce development has shown us just how many outstanding young leaders we have in our communities. This award is a meaningful way to recognize their hard work, dedication, and positive impact, while also encouraging them to continue growing as leaders.”
A special thank you to Elizabethtown Community Hospital, part of the University of Vermont Health Network, for sponsoring this exciting new initiative in 2026. Their support strengthens TACC’s expanding employment opportunities and workforce development programs, helping to invest in the next generation of leaders in our region.
TACC encourages all eligible juniors to apply and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to be recognized for their leadership and service.
