Farmers, Vendors, & Businesses Can Sign Up – Special Events Planned
Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is excited to announce that the 2022 season for the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market will start on Saturday July 9th and run through September 24th in a NEW location in Downtown Ticonderoga. The market and parking will be behind Glens Falls National Bank, just off Montcalm Street. The market will continue to operate Saturdays from 10AM to 1PM, unless noted for special events.
“The Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market is a great opportunity for community members and visitors. We are excited about the new location in Downtown Ticonderoga. We would like to thank everyone who took our survey last winter. We are using that information to plan for the future. Please, join us each Saturday for local produce, products, and more. We are currently recruiting additional farmers, vendors, and business participants. We welcome you to commit to the entire season, specific dates, special events, or even join us as a guest for one market. We would like to give a big thank you to June Curtis who remains our market advisor and core volunteer, the Town of Ticonderoga of their support and dedication, and Carol and Rick Ramundo for their being amazing hosts of the market over the last several years. We would also like to welcome Santo Sapienza as our newest planning volunteer, who will be working with us here at the Chamber office to prepare for the upcoming season, stated Kelly Carey, Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market Manager.
A number of special events are planned for the 2022 season including the following:
- July 16th: Grand Opening with ribbon cutting, live music, and kid’s corner.
- August 13th: Makers Market with live music, and kid’s corner.
- August 27th: Local Author Day.
- September 10th: Harvest Festival with live music, and kid’s corner.
- Friday, December 2nd: Holiday Market at the Chamber Office from 5-8 PM.
The market will be part of StreetFest on July 30th from 10 AM to 3 PM and FallFest on September 24th from 12 Noon to 3 PM.
In addition to the events planned free market bags will be available compliments of Hudson Headwaters Health Network, free local food activity bools for kids provided by Adirondack Harvest, and free weekly recipes from the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Other giveaways and activities will take place as well. Follow the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market on facebook for announcements.
