“Wine Down Wednesday” with Francine & Miranda – Business Transition Celebration

Ribbon Cutting & Business Transition Celebration For My Hope Flower Farm & The Country Florist & Gifts

Miranda Holman, the Owner and Operator of My Hope Flower Farm and Flower Shop along with Francine Burke, formerly of The Country Florist & Gifts invite you to attend “Wine Down Wednesday” with Francine and Miranda on Wednesday, August 16th at 4:00 PM. The event will take place at My Hope Flower Farm & Florist Shop located at 24 Mount Hope Avenue in Ticonderoga, NY. Complimentary wine and refreshments will be served. Fresh garden arrangements will be available all day for $35.00 and you can enter to win a door prize.

The local florist business recently transitioned ownership from long-time owner, Francine Burke (The Country Florist & Gifts), to the next generation. Ticonderoga resident Miranda Holman will carry on the flower shop service and tradition as an important anchor business in the Ticonderoga Area with her new business My Hope Flower Farm. While the name and location may have changed, the quality and consistent floral service will remain.

To celebrate the transition, the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) in coordination with the Center For Businesses In Transition (CBIT) will host a ribbon cutting and business transition celebration at 4:30 PM as part of “Wine Down Wednesday” with Francine and Miranda on August 16th.

In addition to the TACC, local and state representatives are anticipated to participate in the ceremony.

This celebration will officially mark the retirement of Francine Burke, former Owner of The Country Florist & Gifts and the transition of the florist business to Miranda Holman at My Hope Flower Farm. While one is saying goodbye to the business world, the other is saying hello.

“I am honestly excited for the future and to see all that is happening in Ticonderoga. I love this area and I am enthusiastic about my new business adventure. I am grateful that I have been able to turn my passion into a local business and become part of this amazing business community.  I am honored that My Hope Flower Farm is contributing to the continued growth and revitalization of Ticonderoga. I would also like to thank Francine Burke for working closely with me through this business transition process. Please join us along with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, August 16th for “Wine Down Wednesday” and our ribbon cutting celebration,” shared Miranda Holman – Owner and Operator of My Hope Flower Farm and Florist.

Francine Burke has worked closely with the TACC and the CBIT team throughout her business transition planning process. TACC is also currently working with her on a possible new business that will be opening at her former location on Montcalm Street. In addition, My Hope Flower Farm is a new TACC Member that the Chamber has been supporting and working with.

“Mark your calendars and plan to join us on August 16th to celebrate with Miranda and Francine. This event will celebrate the hard work and dedication of Francine, and the future of this important community business with Miranda at the helm. It has been our honor to work with Francine and The Country Florist team for so many years. They have truly been an anchor business in the region.  We are thankful for Francine’s commitment, dedication, and passion for Ticonderoga, the Chamber, the entire community, and this business transition.  We are excited and honored to now be working with Miranda at My Hope Flower Farm. Miranda is a shining example of positivity and collaboration. The Chamber team has already enjoyed working with her. We are thankful for her commitment to continuing the florist business and honoring Francine’s legacy as well as investing in the Ticonderoga Area. Miranda is creating a strong and vibrant business that will be part of the community for many years to come. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for My Hope Flower Farm with Miranda as the lead,” stated Matthew Courtright – TACC President & CEO.
